Glen Esk Retreat
Dates coming soon...
In April, Laura is teaming up with Charli from Charli’s Slow Bakes to host a relaxing retreat up in Glen Esk. Nestled in the Braes of Angus, our lodge for the weekend has no mobile reception with fantastic views of the countryside, so feel cut off from the hustle and bustle of day to day life and join us for some peace and tranquility.
There’ll be lots of good yoga of course but key to a healthy mind and body is the fuel you put in it. Using as much local produce as possible, Charli from Charli’s Slow Bakes will provide tasty, nutritious, seasonal vegan food to fuel your practice.
Wake up each morning to a guided yoga practice with Laura followed by a delicious wholesome breakfast with Charli. The rest of the day can be spent reading, walking, relaxing in any way you choose. There’s lots of good walks either a short drive from the lodge or straight from the door. For the adventurous sort, you could take a hike up Mount Keen, Scotland’s most easterly Munro or even go for a dip in Loch Lee. If you’d rather curl up by the fire with a good book then take refuge in the lodge’s lounge and maybe go for a wander round the sensory garden for a little fresh air. Whether you’re looking for a weekend away out in the wilds or a quiet retreat indoors, this is the retreat for you.

A Little about Charli...

Originally from the west coast of Scotland, Charli now calls Stirling her home. She has always had a love for food, nature and the outdoors. After studying geography and environmental management for five years and working as an environmental manager for five more, she realised that she was moving further and further from what she loved.
Charli’s environmental background had a given her a passion and appreciation for good, clean sustainably sourced and produced food and so the idea 'Charli's Slow Bakes' began to grow.
From working in kitchens, cafes and food festivals Charli has always had a flare for flavour and good food. Expect the odd sweet treat or two, but enjoy a range of healthy, satisfying and down to earth food.
Charli's Slow Bakes
Charli’s Slow Bakes is a small batch bakery based in Stirling focusing on the use of local produce, slow release sugars and alternative flours together with locally produced fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers to create unique, decadent baked treats changing with the seasons
Tea Tasting Workshop
We will offer a workshop introducing the world of artisan tea. We will taste a range of quality teas; explore the range of teas available and the importance of correctly brewing. It will be time to slow down and focus the senses.
